Crystal Lagoon is 45 minutes from Larnaca Airport. Two hours from Paphos airport.
The Villa is situated in Pernera, between Parilimni & Protaras two busy towns, and 5km from Ayia Napia.
There is plenty to do in the area, with a small water park & Aquarium both 2km from the villa, or in near by Ayia Napia is the largest waterpark in Europe; WaterWorld. Cape Grekko National Park is 8km away, great for walking & scuba diving in the Sea Caves.
Pernera
Set in a quiet and very pretty location Pernera has many bars, tavernas, restaurants, shops and a lovely beach . There are plenty of activities for the friends, families and couples to do. Your holiday can be as lively or relaxing as you want it to be.
Pernera’s local sandy beach is also the host to a small church, café, childrens playground, watersports and a fishing harbour.
Protaras
If you fancy going a little bit further a field then Protaras has Fig Tree Bay with bigger sand beaches only a short 3km journey down the road. Protaras has a multitude of restaurants, bars, cafés, watersports, tourist shops, excursions and a good night life.Whether you choose a dance at one of the club's or a quiet drink at one of the music bars. Ayia Napia
Ayia Napa is a well known part of Cyprus famous for its night life but, Ayia Napa is more than just night life. There are large sandy beaches with restaurants and bars, as well as places for guests to shop. If you want to look for the real Cyprus go and see the Monastery which can be found in the centre of Ayia Napia.

By ROAD
You don't need a car as all the amenities are walking distance from the villa. However a car will enable you to explore the Island. Driving is easy, Cypriots drive on the left & the roads are generally in good condition. By the coast there are a lots of dirt tracks that take you to secluded beaches & bays- so do explore!
Car Rentals
Cars like most modes of transport are easy to hire and there are plenty of rental companies to choose from. Best bet is to search on the internet.

Maps
Maps and especially road maps are very hard to buy in Cyprus so if you are planning on travelling around, we would recommend you take one with you.
Names of Towns
Do be aware that most names for locations are either in Cypriot or Turkish for example Nicosia (the Capital) is also called Lefkostia.
Buses
Local buses can be a really good way to get around Cyprus if your not in a hurry, as the buses tend to be slow and take long scenic routes.
Taxis
Taxis are available in towns, resorts and from the airport and can be hired via phone or at a taxi rank.
Cycling
Bikes can be hired in many local places and are another nice way to get around.

Crystal Lagoon is 45 minutes from Larnaca Airport. Two hours from Paphos airport. The new International airport at Larnaca is expected to be opened in November 2009 and more low budget airlines are expected to fly to Larnaca from the UK, such as Easy Jet.

Weather
Generally the weather on the island is clear blue skies the Summer (July and August) is hot & dry, the Spring (March to May) and Autumn (mid-September to mid-October) are short and the Winter is mild.

Language
as a member of the European Union, Cyprus follows European norms and standards. English is widely spoken, as are other European languages, especially in the resort areas.
Money
Closest bank to the villa is 100m from the house.
Banks, Cash points / ATM
Visa and other brands of cashpoint cards are accepted at most banks, restaurants, shops and ATM's.
Currency
Euro is the currency used in Cyprus although you may still see some prices in Cyprus pounds (CY£). If you venture to the Turkish occupied North, the Turkish Lira is used.
Money Exchange
Both travellers cheques and cash can be exchanged at most banks, hotels & exchange bureaus.
Time Zone
Cyprus is two hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) however, most of the year Cyprus will be one hour ahead of Western Europe.
Electricity
All electricity in the villa uses three pin plugs and UK electricals can be used. Most electrical items in Cyprus will come with a two pin plug and so a travel converter may be required.
Crime
In the area of Paralimni – Protaras there is no trace of concern about matters of crime or terrorist attacks. The residents of this area are very hospitable and create no controversies, only friendships. However, just like in every country, it is advisable to be careful with your valuable belongings, and purse.
Medical
The nearest doctor is 400mtrs from the villa and is situated next to a Chemist. The Drs local telephone number is 23811999.
Hospitals
Situated in the area of Paralimni is the Ammochostos General Hospital in addition to several other private clinics.
Communications
Post
A post box can be found near the supermarket at the entrance to the Crystal Lagoon. Stamps can be purchased from most supermarkets and gift shops.
Internet Access
Can be found in most bars for a small cost.
Phones
You can use either coin or card phones around the island (cards can be brought at supermarkets/gift shops). If you want to use your mobile ensure that you tell your mobile provider and get the best rate you can once your phone has been enabled for overseas travel. There is a coin phone box outside the supermarket at the entrance to Crystal Lagoon.
News papers
Can be purchased from most supermarkets/gift shops.
Shopping
The nearest supermarket is at the entrance to Crystal Lagoon but for a bigger and cheaper supermarket there is Carrefour or Orphanides in Parilimni or Orphanides depending which direction you go into Parilimni.
Drinking & Eating Out
As previously mentioned there are lots of different places to go out to eat or have a drink. Approximate costs for a main meal are €6 and a drink approximately €2.40 or €12 for a bottle of wine. Keo is the local beer.
